Pioneer DA77DAB fitting fun

I fitted this HU earlier in the van but have come across a couple of problems so have some questions.

The Aerial cable only has 1 connection not 2 like the one in the van, it also has a blue cable coming off of it where or what does this connect to (as the reception is terrible when I put the unit back into the cubbie hole but ok when its open)

The DAB connection doesnt fit as the one in the van is square and the one I have is circular it also has a blue cable where/what does that connect to?

When I spoke to them they said I could use a single fm lead instead of the double you have. Where did you connect the blue cable to your loom ? The DAB connection in your link is the same as I have but where it connects to my loom it doesn't fit. The oem connection in my loom looks like the attached but the cable supplied is round and doesn't fit...?.

iirc the blue wires are a possitive feed, and the dab went direct on the stereo and the other end i'm sure i had a choice of which connector to put on

You have pulled the plastic part off the back of the old head unit and it’s stuck in that black plug, removed it and it will fit

You need to use a twin fm. As you have 2 diversity aerials

Thanks for this info, I finally got the stuck bit off so now it's just a case of wiring up the blue cables.

HU is up and running, I can hear my parking sensors beep but nothing is displayed? I was under the impression the ctuvw03 was capable of showing them. The dip switch as per the manual is 1 down on and the rest are default. Do I need to do anything else to get the car graphic to display ?

Get shot of the connects2 infoadapter as the pioneer 77dab has a dedicated port on the back for the Pioneer interface that is a simple plug and play and gives better graphics

Thanks for your suggestion, it appears I needed to install the camera feed cables into the infoadapter/HU for the parking sensors to work. Hopefully this helps anyone else who installs this kit.

It surely helps! I will install the same stereo in a T6.1, but using the official Pioneer adapter (this), which should also include a double Fakra to DIN cable.
I'll look also into a rear camera to fit, and let you know how it goes!
