Probably about half the cost of painting.
You could get at least one of those 2k clear coat aerosols you see online, clean a test area of the roof of any polish residue, give it a light flat in this masked off test area with with 600 wet and dry then activate the aerosol and whack some clear coat on... What's the worst that can happen as you can always flat it back off if you fork it up? 
Has anyone had their pop top wrapped? If so any idea of approximate cost?
I’ve rang a couple of garages today for quotes on repainting but am concerned imperfection/ Matte area will show through?
I’d have a go at the 2k spray but fear I would make a mess/ make it worse.

As @Stay Frosty said, you can always flat back the 2k coat if it all goes to Tom Tit.
Had mine wrapped £500……..once I’d managed to find someone who would do it.
Yeah, but reluctant, guy who did the polish was saying ‘with it being fibreglass really wouldn’t want to be sanding this back to much” when talking about may need painting.
I feel like I have a few options left.
-Leave it looking ropey (is it structurally sound?)
-wrap it (would a clear wrap do it?) reached out for some quotes today.
-get it repainted (awaiting quotes) and will problem areas return?

I’d ‘happily’ (well not happily) pay someone to do that if it solved problem.

Had a quote for pop top wrap Iro £600 locally. If ‘roof is in appropriate condition’.
Guy who did the polish has come back saying (as he did at time to be fair) thought the polish wouldn’t work longer term, but was surprised how quick it had failed.
He has offered a discount/ good will if I want to get pop top sanded back, painted and sealed.

the quote I received for a wrap was on condition there was “no flaking”. We decided to wait to the spring and get it done then. I will take it in then for them to have a look at and get a new quote (hopefully won’t be too much more than the ~£500 they quoted this time).
So thoughts good people..

These are the blues he has suggested may match Acapulco.
I’m a bit reluctant / concerned on the sanding back and painting but the guy has offered a discount as he ‘was disappointed’ polish didn’t last.
Not wishing to also fall foul of sunk cost fallacy/ trap!
