Poptop - trim canvas before carpeting

It's hard to explain and alot of it is to do with feel, which will come with experience.
I'd also never finish, let's say the top, while all the bottom is loose. Get all the main bits down correctly before starting to finish off.
But I'd expect them creases to pull out.
