Pothole alloy damage

Trouble is,this time of year they fill with water so you don’t know until you crash through it, usually in the dark, the amount of times I’ve put a road cone in deep holes is unbelievable in Cumbria, most repairs up here seem to last a couple of months before they return.

It’s the same here throughout winter. 4 routes in and out of our village and only 1 is passable at the moment. Even that one has loads of pot holes hidden under water. Once the water level drops again there will be dozens of new ones that need repairing.

Got Floyd back today, new alloys, two new front tyres and a refurb of the other three alloys.

The crack in the damaged alloy is right in the rim, straight through to the inner rim.

Ready for CamperMart in just over two weeks.

The traffic cone in hole tactic is a good one, done it several times around here and it seems to illicit a response from North Yorkshire Highways.

Bloody dangerous around here as it causes the lorries to swerve into the oncoming traffic.

Likely they suspect a drunk under the cone.

How’s that victim blaming?

..He’d have bounced over the hole?
As much as they are low profile it should make no difference. The hole should not be there, especially @ 10cm deep.
