So i thought i had better weigh my Swamper conversion on my T30 (i had noticed it wasn't as quick as pre conversion!! ) came in at 2880kg! with water tanks empty and driver. so add passenger, full water tanks and a bit of food and were at 3000kg thats before i add toys and hang 2 ebikes on back etc.
mind you i have gone to town on it with AT tyres, full underbody protection, RR bed + all the other conversion things that just add up.
its a 2023 LWB 4 motion bi Turbo. i bought Seikel 30mm lift suspension and from what they said it had the uprated front suspension, so i am thinking that is the T32 front shocks etc.
I have just made initial enquirers to getting it re plated with a 3200kg hope fully its straight forward here in NZ if not i might have to go through it and strip some weight out :) maybe put the GF on a diet.
probly needs a map to maybe 250HP as well but a bit nervious on that as it will invalidate warranties.

Did you need to get LVV Certification for any of the mods?
I have a 2022 T6.1 (T30) that I will want to mod a bit as part of adding camper van functionality and green sticker self containment etc.

It was easy to up-plate a T28 in the UK to a T31 for £276, paperwork exercise really, my Bro in Law lives in Hawkes Bay NZ and from what he says it's probably 10 dollars or a six pack to up-plate! He's probably exaggerating, he does that!

Our swb 4M camper weighed in at 2640, for normal use, with two people and full fuel.
When we were fully packed for a month away in Norway, we weighed in at 2880, so 240 kg for a lot of food/drink/15 litre fresh water/ extra gas/clothes/bedding/etc etc,
we have a T32 so have some spare kg if we take bikes and paddle boards away.
Engine is 150 and seemed perfect for the van fully loaded, I’m about to add just the engine plate as I know the weight does add up, (going to Iceland next year whoop whoop)
I’m lucky that our local tip allows you to use the weighbridge for free after hours, they leave it switched on permanently,IMG_3055.pngIMG_3054.jpeg

Yes all LVV - poptop, RR bed, Swivel seat base etc, blue stickered till next june which may be extended so will worry about green then.

I think he is exagerating, i spoke to certifier yesterday and he was saying you have to get engineers report! have mailed VW NZ to see if possible.
