Price of diesel in your area?

I've been using an app called Fuelio to record every time I've filled up since I got the van - I've also only filled with V-power diesel (or equivalent when not near shell station)

During the lockdown I was paying around£1.25 and a few weeks ago was paying a whopping £2.17

Coming up to 40,000 miles this month on a manual 2019 t32 lwb 155bhp two wheel drive and getting around 40mpg though I usually stick in on cruise control at 60mph as I quite enjoy just cruising along.

I'm paying around £10 more per tank for the V-power but emissions are always really clean at services and with the mpg and the performance I'm happy with the investment in a vehicle I plan to keep for some time

The fella that was keeping his prices low in Leintwardine has diesel at £1.83 and petrol at £1.57

Why is there such a disparity between the two pumps?

Ordinary diesel (for the daily commuter Smart Car not the van) £1.859 at Sainsbury's, Emerson Green, Bristol today.

@Ali-G begs the question, there is std diesel and premium diesel. Which are you putting in your van? I just fill with the cheap stuff.

Only ever Shell V-Power, unless I'm in the North of Scotland when I reluctantly have to put in whatever I can find as there are no Shell stations north of Glasgow.

Edited to say that there are no Shell stations north of Glasgow on the West coast, I'm pretty sure there's a Shell in Inverness.

Filled up my Audi Q5 this afternoon in the local gas station (John Stayte on the A38 just off J13, M5) at £1.913. It was £1.895 yesterday.

Perhaps this should be a new thread, but What are people paying for adblue?
When I got my van 2 1/2 years ago I was paying 72p at the pump at Shell.
When fuel shot up so did ad blue-to £1.68
Now given its 85% distilled water and the chemical content isn’t refined from oil (I think) I’m sure we are all having our pants pulled down.
Last time I filled up was in Norway in July at £1.38 and I was due another 10litre fill up this week.
So had a shock when I got an email from Euro car parts showing it in offer at £18.99……………
FOR 5 LITRES !!!!!!
£3,80 a litre.
Anyway, went to Texaco and it’s ONLY £1.69 at the pump.
Shows how many businesses are trying to profiteer while we have been almost conditioned into accepting that everything is going to rise in price.

I don't really do a lot of miles and have only actually filled my Adblue tank twice myself, both times at pumps in Europe. The last time that I did it was in Germany last month and it cost me about £1.40 per litre when converted. That said, I also noticed a ten litre bottle outside the shop at a motorway services at an eye watering €55.

I recently paid £1.99 a litre at Esso in Scunthorpe. Was 99p a litre not so long ago.

I have a theory... is it the increase in the price of keeping pigs caused indirectly from the rise in oil prices? Food, transport etc..

They extract the urate in Adblue from pig urine then extract the urine from us punters!

Ammonia prices have gone through the roof, some plants have stopped making the constituents because of gas prices, it all adds up.
