got to play with the keystone but works really nicely and is out of the way to the side of the van!
I know this is a old post but just looking for a mini projector that I don’t need to connect a device too has its own running system did yours allow Amazon prime or channel 4 to be downloaded and save films to watch in the van ?I’ve done this. I took a while picking a projector as there seems to be various different specs that are quite similar. I decided to get one that could be charged by a power bank and it works really well. I also wanted one that had its own operating system so it doesn’t have to have something connected to it. I went with this one (though from a different seller) Projector and have been really impressed with it. It’s tiny. It’s not particularly loud but works great with a Bluetooth speaker.
I looked at mounts and in the end went with one for a small security camera as they seemed much smaller then the actual projector ones which all seemed to have a big drop.Mount
for the screen I just got a spare bit of curtain lining and used a plastic rod at the top and bottom with a couple of velcro straps to strap to the inside op the pop top (where the straps go to close it). It all works very well and can easily remove the projector and use at home too. The kids love it ...

Agreed. I hunted around for a while. I wanted something with at least 200-ANSI-lumen, as you can see in my photos the image is plenty good enough to watch in daylight and I have white canvas sides to my pop top so that does let light in. At night its excellent and if it became an issue I'd just buy a rainbow screen pop top cover which would effectively act as a blackout curtain. The Max fits the bill but you are correct - no zoom. Fortunately I was able to have a good look at Busfest and decided that mounting in the roof was doable. Just also make sure that whatever you get has good keystone capability as that's essential given you cant always place the projector exactly where you want.I too have been investigating the world of projectors and it’s a bit of a minefield. The Capsule Max is the one I wanted to get. I was under the impression that all projectors had a zoom facility. They don’t!!! Because of where I want to mount mine, towards the back of the van, the Capsule Max would throw an image far too big for the screen. I now realise that I must have a device with zoom facility if I’m going to get this to work. The best option I think I’ve found is the Samsung Freestyle which has zoom.
My other concern is if the image would be bright enough. I’m a bit reluctant to splash out over £500 for a system which isn’t really practical.
I might have to go with plan A and mount a TV higher up
Anyone got. Samsung Freestyle set-up?
Thanks @Pedro20001 currently 62 with a 15% so £53 like you say. What is the sound like? Can you connect to bluetooth speakers?Try the cibest one, £62 ATM on Amazon, sometimes down to £53. Was impressed for the price.
Looks great! Where do put the Nebula? Is it on the side with the tripod? Just wondering if it has to be central. ThanksWe’ve got the Anker Nebula Capsule Max. They have £80 off on their own Nebula site atm. It’s 720p, can save videos offline, has Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Sky Go, YouTubes apps. Can use as a Bluetooth speaker for music. Great for downloading videos to before going away. We have the tripod and use it to aim it at the poptop - we don’t bother with a screen and tripod avoids using a mount. View attachment 160661
