is it this one - Bed Options UK | VisionTech Automotive the VTA electric bed? if so maybe I've misunderstood the classification of these beds - is this not a rocknroll?
I walk with a stick due to a serious hip injury and get the pop top down just fine, despite also being aflicted with a condition called being 6'5" and 20 stone which causes me to take up an inconvenient volume of space.
A question. Is there any kind of aftermarket motorised pop top wind-down system?

there's something called the Atlas Roof Assist - Atlas Roof Assist in Action sussex campervans put me on to it. I think its theirs but I need to give them a follow up call to find out some more about it. I think it would work. need to find out from them whether it also pulls down. it should by the looks of it. which means just rigging a setup and attachment points.
TBH, provided your hands work and you have even moderate upper body strength and a halfway decent grip I doubt you'll have a problem. Presumably you'll be able to try one out?

I'm going to try out an austops in the new year somewhere local to me. upper body strength is fine and I'm 6ft, its just the knees are FUBAR, so whatever I figure out it has to be done from sitting in one of the front seats.

I’d seen that too and was going to suggest it. I followed it up with Sussex Campervans but decided I didn’t need it yet. I also concluded that it appeared to be their own development, but a good idea and probably of benefit to many.
