Hi, need some help from you guys to conclude that my dual mass flywheel is broken and needs to be replaced.

I have a VW T6 2016 4x4 and DSG gearbox

Please check out the video:

That's the DMF rattling.

In neutral?

Stops when in drive?

Worse when cold?

Thanks for your replay,

This was I neutral yes, the noise is there also when I put it in drive.

Haven’t checked if it’s worse or better if it’s cold or warm.

just had the same kind of noise. Thought it was the DMF, they changed it with the clutch (expensive job...) and it ended up being the auxiliary drive belt. I have read this belt should have been changed at the same time as the timing belt but it was not. So I ended up changing the DMF too early.
Here is the timeline:
202k km: change timing belt
225k km: change auxiliary drive belt
DMF was used but was still good to go...

Couple of mornings ago i started hearing the knocking sound on cold starts only, fine when driving and after driving. My auxiliary belt and was changed fairly recently, but had a look underneath and noticed a fair bit of oil, could this be the DMF and the leak linked to that? See photos

Cheers
