Rear Ceiling courtesy lights question

Quick question as not great on electrics
I’m installing led ceiling spotlights in rear of van with a light switch to the leisure battery
I’d like to remove the two standard square courtesy lights while I’m doing the head lining so it looks tidier and just wondering if it will cause any errors anywhere if the old lights are no longer connected, ie nothing blogged into the connection on the loom.
intended to just remove them and leave disconnected in the roof void
