Rear quarter windows to match Kombi sliding windows

Wish I seen this thread earlier, just paid £520 for twin sliders supplied and fitted.

Mine were about £138 each in 2016, now I guess they are about £165 each. Those were / are 7E3 845 331R and 7E3 845 332R, tinted and heat insulated.

The above were supplied off the shelf by VW Van Centre (West Yorkshire) and fitted by Van Window Specialists, fitting cost me £140. All prices inc. VAT.

I hope you don't mind me picking up on this old thread, but you appear to have done exactly what I want to do, that is add a left rear quarter light window that matches the factory fitted "green privacy glass" (spec quoted on the original build sheet), in my LWB Combi siding door.

On this thread you quote a parts number 7E3 845 331R. can I just double check that is for the left-hand side rear window for a LWB Combi Van and is green privacy glass?

Hi Chris,

I would never guarantee a VW part number as everyone can make a mistake. It looks right BUT I would recommend confirming with your van centre parts counter that the part number is compatible with your chassis number the PR numbers relating to your van. I know they will say that your van does not have rear side windows but a good parts man will confirm the matching tint etc. At least mine would.

If it is 570mm tall at the front edge (where it butts up to the sliding door window) and 1262mm at its longest point, it will confirm it is the right one for me to order. Thanks again for your help.

Yes the left rear window in my LWB T6 is as you say 570mm at the front edge against the sliding door and 1262mm long at the longest point.

Not at all unusual for a parts man to be phased, those that don't supply any DIY folks don't seem to understand how to look for parts if they are not specific to a particular VIN. Up to now I've always had good trade parts counter staff who are capable of looking for items regardless of then being for any specific vehicle. If you want confirmation of a part number perhaps @Pauly can provide a definitive answer for you.

As far as I'm aware they are all the same size on a LWB T5/T6, likewise on a SWB.

It's the tint that varies and some after market suppliers cannot match the OEM tints.
