I went with Fabworx for mine. Had it installed a few weeks ago, now working on fitting the flooring.
Hi mate I am having a fabworx RR bed and sliding frame fitted next month. The fella said to fit 6mm sound deadning prior to fitting.

I posted this on fb and got different opinions. Did you have the rail system fitted? Did you fit anything to floor please?

In that case Remio rails bonded to the floor with a Reimo bed is probably the best and most expensive solution you could choose!

Are the kids tall? Often you’re loosing a bit of head height on the seats with these - rails can raise the floor height and the bed frames can be taller. Might need to bare that in mind if going for a poptop with a raising bed - also loosing some head height.

I chose Fabworx in Chesterfield who supplied and installed their own RS rails bed.
What's the fabworks Rail system and bed like pal? Is in noisey? And did you do anything with floor prior to fitting? Thanks

I put Dodo 6mm foam superliner on the bare van floor before fitting. Didn’t use anything else.

Not had any noise or rattling from it.

It’s bloody sturdy, well built and heavy!

Service from the guys is good. I did have a couple of problems with rubbing in the first week they had it back and fixed it and paid for fuel. There was a careless error in one of the fixing points with a bolt not being threaded in correctly but I corrected that myself as it was quick to do.

Downsides…
- seat base seems a bit high in their design, so head clearance is not the best in the back.
- stuff drops into the tracks and it’s a total pain to retrieve or clean out. Especially if you’ve got kids travelling in the back - the tracks seem to be a black hole for hair clips, shells, precious sticks etc. I had a screw lost in there and then it jammed up the rollers and was a right pig to retrieve.
- the four pegs to release the rollers are at the front and the back of the bed so you have to walk around the van from side to rear door twice to move the seat to a new position.
- there are a limited number of positions (5?) it can be slid to. I don’t know why they don’t provide more options.

A sliding seat is a total game changer in the van though especially if you have kids.

Thanks for the reply pal appreciated. Did you cover the complete floor high and low points?

Is the dodo matting the closed cell black stuff?

Thanks again mate my van is a semi high roof so should be ok

Yes across the whole floor, low and high points.

Yep you got it, the closed cell black stuff. It’s like a really soft yoga mat type feel. Very easy to get torn or ripped once it’s down so lay it just before you take it to fabworx.
