Rear view camera without engaging reverse?

I had reverse camera view on my Kenwood DNX516 without engaging reverse on my last T6., even while driving - the Kenwood and camera were fitted by a Lookers van centre. I refitted the Kenwood and camera to my current van and the local auto sparkie said that it couldn't be done when I asked for the same functionality. As it was a battle getting it installed normally I didn't push it. It's a good option for discreetly viewing what's happening behind the van when you're parked up without being obvious about it.

Is anybody solve this with low-line camera?
I found only option how to do it with high-line in B8 (mod 5F>adaptation>car_function_.._VPS)x)B>activated) but does not work on my new low-line camera.
