This looks good! And although everyone is advising me not to buy the diamond-cut alloys I want, I am prepared for the maintenance costs that will inevitably come with it.Just a follow up on yesterday’s post about how I polished the diamond cut face of the alloys.
This is what they look like if you don’t wash the wheels for 2 or 3 months. This pic is AFTER they’ve been washed!

View attachment 267225Have to go out so I’ll post a pic of how a full wheel turns out later in the week.
I've just had my WR GTR Munichs replaced under warranty after 6 months, the lacquer was lifting and they started "worming"I like the Wolfrace alloys, I fancy the Assassin GT2, but I have heard several people talking about how the Wolfrace delaminates rather quickly and might need powder-coated after a few years, that's £400-£500 treatment, sounds a bit scary tbh.
Agree, diamond cut are a pain. Had them on the car and soon looked shabby.T6plumber ? Does he have these ?
Isaac- I have poor boys sealant and it's not saved our diamond cut rims .

I can tell the diamond-cut debate is going to thrash on until the end of timeAgree, diamond cut are a pain. Had them on the car and soon looked shabby.
Thing is they’re cheap enough to buy fresh in a couple of years for a fresh look.I can tell the diamond-cut debate is going to thrash on until the end of time
We all know it's a bad idea, we know they don't last, become expensive to maintain over time, & buying them goes against the advice handed down by many a wise car owner, but vanity is a powerful desire that clouds our savvy decision-making process.
I'm fighting my own battle here
OMG, I knew I joined the forum for a good reason, why spend £400 on a refurb in 2 years when I can buy new ones for £600!? Genius. Or is it justification? Who cares, it's my first camper, diamond-cut wheel it is. Thank you @Micktheplasterer, that was the comment I was looking forThing is they’re cheap enough to buy fresh in a couple of years for a fresh look.
Now all I have to do is spend a small fortune getting my front end lowered by 1 inch after the conversion, (or is it my rear raised 1 inch), and I'm home & dry.OMG, I knew I joined the forum for a good reason, why spend £400 on a refurb in 2 years when I can buy new ones for £600!?
