I've heard these talked about a few times in a few places : WagnerTuningUK - VW T5 T6 Evo2 Competition Intercooler Kit 200001067

Do they actually do anything or just look trick ?? (on a 2018 t6 204ps BiTDi)

Should you not change components like this if you have a map, as the map was developed against an all OEM standard engine set-up??

Not needed for stage 1.

My RS3 is stage 2, which requires an intercooler, and sports cat. The software is developed to work with these.

There is no stage 2 on a BITDI.

@BognorMotors .... yeah cheers Oli. I didn't mean it's function just for Stage 1 specifically.

It's just that the Wagner website leads you to believe that this part alone improves performance and is better than the OEM part all round.

I'm wondering if that's actually true in the first instance ?? ... and secondly, if you add in this component that changes OEM turbo parameters would that mess up a map (stage 1) that has been designed, tested and released to work on normal OEM parameters ??

I have the Wagner intercooler and its much larger than original it works well with decat pipe and Revo stage 2 except it now has to much power in first and second constant wheel spin and the TC cutting in all the time
having said that its blisteringly quick for a van ..........
