I have an 18 plate 102, had a Pendle remap and took it to 159bhp, best thing I ever did. Covered 20k miles since the remap and had zero issues. If the map is done correctly and custom tuned to your vehicle you won't have any issues with it. As for mpg, mine has stayed pretty much exactly the same. Hope that helps.hi guys looking nfor some advice please i have a 18 plate 102 looking on here at remaps is it worth me getting it done id like to take it to around 130/150 is it worth it and the risk its saying about the 5 speed box and turbo and would it give me better mpg at all .thanks for reading
I'm guessing you already know that an egr delete is an MOT fail and there are new measures coning into the MOT to check for this?I've got a 16 plate t6 102 shuttle and it's getting a custom remap and egr delete done tomorrow. I've been having issues with the egr so instead of paying £460+ just for the part itself I am getting the remap done and saving money. Been told it could increase the bhp to close to 170 as well as more torque so I'm looking forward to getting it out for a wee blast.
I’ve had mine remap at Leighton in December 2020 and it’s a pendant remap they have moved backLeighton are now REVO.
The current ECU tends to dump the power- a remap gives a smoother power distribution, in creased torque, increase in performance and better fuel economywhy? if you have just bought it why not just use it as it is.
HeyHad my Revo remap at their Performance Centre centre yesterday and can highly recommend. Great advice and I was well looked after.
Revo and Pendle are clearly the two best remaps out there and what swayed me was a combination of geography (I live 25mins from Daventry) and the size of Revo as a business compared to Pendle.
Having said that, Martin's videos are a must watch and he clearly knows his stuff so I guess it's a bit like choosing between an Audi or a BMW.
I spoke to my insurance company (Safeguard) and there was no extra cost apart from the usual £25 policy amendment charge.
As far as warranty is concerned Revo's view that is they will happily remove the remap and for non related warranty issues the Dealer is unlikely to see it unless they dig far enough into the ECU.
I've taken the view that life's too short and for a brand new 150 bhp with DSG providing I avoid lots of short journeys and use decent fuel ( eg V-Power) I should be ok.
Next up is the TVS gearbox remap and LED lights at THQ (I'm sure the Pendle one is good too). Then booked in with Jason at Absolut5 for the audio upgrade.
Job done then and time to give the wallet a rest.
Hope this helps and you won't regret it whichever you choose.
