Remote folding mirrors

Hi
Just bought t6 caravelle it has the folding mirror function on the switch but they don’t fold when I keep my finger on lock button on key fob like my old t6 , is this something that has to be programmed?

What year is it ?
2018 onwards should do it as standard, its a weird link but one touch windows need to be working for comfort mirror folding to function so try the windows first and confirm if they go fully up and down without holding the button, if they dont then reset one touch windows by taking the window all the way down then holding the button down for a few seconds then take window all the way up then hold the button up for a few seconds and repeat for both sides, once one touch windows are operating properly then try the mirrors again with a long press on the keyfob lock button

Thanks for reply , it’s a 2016 , my kombi that I sold was a 2018 and that did it so that’s right what you said yes they do go up and down with one push /pull , so I’m guessing it would have to be programmed then

If its a MY16 van then it can be programmed to do it (production date from around 09/15 to 08/16 ish)

Thanks very much for this, it just cured my windows and the mirror fold on the key long press.
 
Potentially resurrecting a thread here but I have just taken ownership of a T6 2016, registered April ‘16

It has power folding mirrors and will not fold on the key.
I have enabled the coding in VCDS, including comfort close, reset the windows and still nothing.

What am I missing?
 
You could post your most recent unedited VCDS Autoscan and we shall find out.

The folding mirrors were already checked, but I then selected comfort close. I have since checked again in case I forgot to accept the code, but it's lodged
