Replace cab rubber with carpet (or on top)?

Anyone done this and any regrets if so? I think (but not sure) that some vans (maybe Calis and Kombis?) may have come with carpet as standard is that right? If you swapped to carpet and sound deadened underneath does it affect the ability to stick the carpet down properly? I notice that THQ (maybe others) do moulded aftermarket carpet that goes on top of the rubber floor. Anyone done this and do they hold up well?

Cheers

the carpets are moulded and not stuck down.

they just sit ontop of your sound deadening.

not the THQ ones. .

but you can find the OEM carpets online, ebay etc.
