Have you managed to get yours to lock with the van Will? Ordered my plastic, just waiting for it to arrive from China. Apparently you can weld this stuf with melted cable ties!?I started with Perspex but found it too brittle so ended up with 5mm HDPE plastic off eBay.

sorry for not making it clear. I plan to use it to plug my wheelchair chargers in to a plug socket in the car. What I was trying to ask was has anyone fitted one of these things to their grill and was it easy to do?Are you asking if you can charge your wheelchair from it? Sorry if I misunderstood your question.
I don’t have the luxury of an EHU being fitted to the van as it is a Motability vehicl.e. I just thought that this would be a way to bring power into the vehicle that can be removed before the lease ends. It's a way of getting EHU power into your van. Rather than say having a connection in the engine bay itself. It's a convenient concept but seems rather expensive and time consuming to achieve. I'm sure any EHU system would power your wheelchairs.
All this grill does is move the place you plug into from under the bonnet to behind the VW badge in the grill. The rest of the electrics from there into the van would be the same. I would think it is easier to install and there remove a standard under bonnet EHU.I don’t have the luxury of an EHU being fitted to the van as it is a Motability vehicl.e. Sorry to ask but please can you point me in the right direction as I am new to all of this and my Googling hasn’t come up with anything else. thanksSure there are easier and cheaper solutions.

I am near Derby. The charger realistically takes a good 12 to 14 hours to get the chair to 100% charge. This is the power info for this type of charger for those smart enough to understand it. It is an Invacare Opticharge . To make things a little more complicated, both my wife and I are wheelchair users and so would need to be able to charge both chairs at the same time. Fortunately we both have the same make and model of chairs and so have the same chargers.Where abouts are you? Would search for an auto electrician or if a local converter that could help. Not sure what charge the wheelchair require but maybe a jackery or similar portable ppwer station who work without having to modify the van.
Kit is shown in a photo in post #14 in this thread. It show you how to fit later on.Sorry to ask but please can you point me in the right direction as I am new to all of this and my Googling hasn’t come up with anything else. thanks

QUICK EDIT, thought I should add that each chair has 2 x 55aH batteries so not sure that a Jackery would mange what we need but don’t understand enough to work it out. should have paid more attention on that school day I think

There is other threads with descriptions of similar setup, one that comes to mind is @Deaky 's build thread.
Complete kits can be bought:
240V Mains Hook-Up Installation Kit For Caravans, Motorhomes & Boats
Mains installation kit for fitting 240V hook-up systems to caravans, motorhomes & boats. Includes DP consumer unit, sockets, surface mains inlet & cable.www.12voltplanet.co.uk
DO the chairs have to be in the van to charge, or could they go in an awning?
In an awning you could just use:
3-Way Mobile Mains Hook-Up
3-way mobile mains hook-up for portable supply of 240V power from a campsite or shore supply. With RCD protection & polarity indicator. 15m Cable.www.12voltplanet.co.uk
Which actually could be used in the van is there was a plug in one of the sockets with the earth pin connected to the vans chassis (no live/neutral connections).
