Reverse camera and Kenwood stereo

Hi, I have the same set up
i have a kenwood rear camera
mine needed the Av turning on in settings
have you checked in set up

Just fitted kenwood reverse camera to my dabs7018
problems im having when i select reverse it wont flick to camera i have to manually press camera on head unit
when i take it out of reverse its just a blank screen,my old t5 used to flick back to whatever source i was using
any ideas

Have you connected the purple/white wire on the 7018 to the reverse feed?

Searching + Googling but not found the answer. 2015 T6 with OEM reverse camera in the tailgate. Kenwood DNX518VDABS with no reverse camera operation as I believe the PO did not want this function. I've pulled out the head unit and I have these open connections and no reverse/rear camera on the screen. What do I need to join the dots please to get reversing and/or rear view on command. Many thanks

Assume the blue connector is camera feed? Does it need an adapter to connect to yellow plugs or direct to rear of unit?
