Rib Altair

Hey guys
Just got a van and in the process of figuring out what we really need/want/can afford.
We think we have decided to go with a RIB Altair on Glidemotion rails.
I cant find too many reviews on Glidemotion. Anyone here have one? Any comments would be much appreciated.
Also, one video that we watched showed the ability to fold the seats in a fashion that allows you to lie down with a backrest looking out the back of the van instead of towards the driver. Is this true? only seen one video which makes me question it.
Next, what under seat storage do you guys have for a sliding rib bed?

Thats all for now.
No doubt Ill be back soon.
Thank you very much
:)

Welcome Candy. I have just had the 150cm installed. Moves easily and yes you can have the biggest Chaise Lounge in existence. You can do this towards the driver or towards the rear.

Just exploring fitting a floor and panels to it.

We are having the Glidemotion fitted on our van as we speak so watching this with interest.
Our converter said for storage the seat can be lifted up giving full access to the under bed area, so that sounds great.

They are the Glidemotion rails Candy. All part of the price. Make sure they get the Caravelle steps though to replace yours. These go in with a 20mm floor so need the deepest steps as I have just found out.

My son is 6'2" and has to sit in the middle. It is high compared to normal seats. Be careful on speed humps

How have you found it since being installed? Looking at this option myself

We have just done 10 nights on the NC500 route plus Skye.

Really comfortable. 50mm Duvalay topper used, Also tons of staorage space under the seat and easy to access this.

Hi all, I was going to have the RIB Altair 150 installed on GlideMotion back in January. Converter quoted me a few months before. But then when I was ready they said they didn’t like the ‘overfit’ whatever that meant and recommended we wait for RIB ‘s own rails which were released last year. So here we are camping season and no installation.

Have have you found the glidemotion? I preferred it over Ubexflux because under seat storage was option. The converter said they’d build in it so it moved with seat. Plus Uberflux expensive

Anyone know where to find the RIB rails? (Well Scopema) they have great video demo online but I can’t find them and they didn’t reply when I ask if released to UK as yet.

Really need the seat / bed and only want on rails , so delay a pain .

Thanks for any views , mind you if still in favour of glide motion I need to find another local converter. Chances are this summer out now, any good converter will be booked up

Hey, finding the glidemotion absolutely fab. Under seat storage under the bed is huge and can get so much under there.
I have a LWB and we have used it with the seat all the way back and also nearly all the way forward. So adaptable.

See photo of the seat well forward with the cats strapped in ready for an outing ;) cats.jpg

Got mine from these guys. So glad I spent the extra for the rails. More versatile

That’s the guys who make the glidemotion. Part of clearcut conversions.
They know their stuff.
