Road Tax - What are you paying?

Look on the tinternet not sure it applies to commercial vehicles (yet)
My California wasn’t classed as commercial yours is so u might be lucky??
I’m sure someone will know more
 
It’s based on list price but, as above, don’t think it applies to commercial vehicles.
 
I just checked the receipt from when I bought the van and the road licence fund was £250, but that’s not to say it won’t change next year
 
I specced rear quarter windows on my Kombi yep rear quarter glass,
Mad hey it’s in the options on the edition builder but the dealer advised me that with this option hmrc or whoever they are may class it as a passenger vehicle and charge me £1200 for the first years tax.so I removed that option.

Don’t go down that rabbit hole! There’s been loads of discussion on the Kombi issue
 
Well once it’s taxed if it’s £250 the first time it’s taxed it will only ever increase with the times ,,,the odd tenner ect...
it normally starts high and reduced to even it out after 3 or 5 years I think
 
And just remember HM government haven’t worked out how to replace the “lost” tax on fuel that electric cars aren’t paying

The only way is up?

Or paying by the mile?

Both are very likely imho

I have no knowledge about whether it applies to Kombis, but if it does then discounts are not taken into account, it's full list price inc VAT that they go on.

Tax reminder just landed... £260 :(
My V5 says motor caravan but the tax doc says light goods vehicle. Is that right?
 
Reminder said £250, computer said £260, happens every year :cry:

@sparkywig I know what you mean.... It can be challenging. My trick is to start early, then finish early..... To get ahead of the brawl. - as you know the daily commute into town is absolute carnage, especially now COVID is over and all the city slickers are back to there old tricks of planes...
