I had a look at the video and it did seem quite effective. I am quite intrigued by the Rat Mat. Certainly if someone had a home parking space or driveway it would be just a case of drive on switch on switch off drive off one for every car. I have no lack of space, acres but believe it or not nothing completely smooth or level little hard surface. I would need to prepare a few parking spaces. Its on the grass or in the mud as it is. Thank you for the posting.

My father in law has had a similar problem with his Renault Kadjar. Rat droppings all over the engine bay, gnawed cables and what looked like an attempt to nest in one the front wings!!!! It seems it's just not VW who are prone to this.

It is not just VW, a number of manufacturers use soya these days.
