Roof preparation rails for awning rail?

After seeing a picture of the roof preparation rails that go into the roof gutters, has anyone used them as an awning rail? It looks like you could feed a figure of eight bead into it

I’m very interested in the same question but as yet not found an answer. Have you found a solution?
 
yes, I did exactly that. I got a regular aluminium C rail and ran it through the table saw to make it the correct size to slide in, worked fine.
 
If anyone wants a rain rail prep for swb t6 give me a shout I have them including all of the additional fixings for sale. The fixings are unused.

I'm interested in your solution but I'm struggling to visualise how this would work, when you say regular C channel, do you mean the rail where the "C" is to one side like the photo here or do you mean channel where the "C" is placed in the middle like the second photo below?
