Rubber floor repair

Hi, I have a tear in the rubber floor of my T6.1 kombi where the heel of my right foot sits when I'm driving. There's also a dent made by my heel where the wadding/stuffing below must have been pushed gradually out of position. Has anyone successfully repaired this kind of tear? Is it possible to partially pull back the rubber floor in the footwell so I can get underneath to repair the wadding and rubber floor properly? If so, how is this best achieved?

I was hoping the floor would not wear through so quickly. I appreciate a set of mats would prevent this so any recomendations would be appreciated.:)

Thanks...

Loctite 406 or superglue. Will fix the clean cuts.

Get a tube of aquasure.
It’s for repairing waders, inflatables and wet suits.
Fill the hole up with it. Sets a very tough rubber.
Then get a decent mat with a heel pad on it

You need to use decent Matts ontop to stop that happening.

My preference is VW monster rubber Matt's.

Or as above carpet Matt's, rugs for bugs style.

Oh, yes you can pull it back but may have to unclip the step part to get proper access.
