Screen wash smell in cab and Sat Nav freezing

Hi there,
When i engage the screen wash especially in these colder mornings the smell of the chemical enters the cab area in seconds (windows are closed) and is quite overpowering.
I seem to remember reading something in the owners manual that something operates to stop this happening, Any views on this??? Also does anyone out there experience their sat nav and all the other functions on their Discover Media unit freezing on whatever screen they happen to be on at the time from time to time, especially if its cold weather?

Make sure you have some anti-freeze in your screen wash, then when the fumes enter the cabin, the head unit will unfreeze.....

Get some scented screen wash its lovely. My blowers change when cleaning the screen, I usually have it set at 11 o'clock position but when giving it a squirt it changes few a few seconds.

As from 2 days ago, now when I engage the washers, the fan in the cab also engages and the smell is far less overpowering as it now gets extracted. I thought I just got a software update or something.

I think the blowers work similar to when you put it in reverse ie it temporarily engages internal recirculation of air instead of drawing air in from outside to stop exhaust fumes/screen wash from entering the cab ?
