Yes it depends on the width. 275 is fine on a 8.5" I wouldn't use 275 on an 8".

I think 275 is a bit wide for a 8.5" wheel. Official guidance is max width 255, ideally 235 or 245 with 225 the skinniest advised.

It will fit fine. My 275s are on a 9" and they sit square. Depends on the tyre I suppose.

However on an 8.5" run 245/45. That's a nice fitment.

I totally get it with yours @Walski , because you use it for a far greater purpose than delivering produce, and that's where my problem is, it's my office, my workhorse, if it was my main vehicle for the family I would definitely go that route, but on my works van just couldn't pay it
