Morning all.
Noticed a while ago that when I select reverse (DSG) the heating fan speed seems to increase and change from where the flow is directed??
Anyone else noticed this??

When you select reverse the heater automatically sets to 'recirc' to avoid any smelly exhaust fumes entering the cab..... i think anyway ....This makes the fan noise increase slightly.

That would make sense.

Yep that and the stereo going quieter which annoys me as I'm usually listening to radio 4 and I miss something

I've not noticed that, I'm going to have a look next time. Seems odd, I can't think of the logic in that

The other points make sense but why do the front fogs light up ????

The man that can understand the logic in VW's programming engineers is a better man than any of us, but no doubt there is a reason.

I'm guessing most reversing manoeuvres are slow and often involve steering lock. I can picture myself reversing in tight areas and looking at what the front is doing as much as the back. Therefore the more low down light shone on 'hidden' rocks, kerbs, posts etc, the better.

24, you're so sensible.....
