I’m not sure it’s very reliable and will obviously put load of the battery if you are parked up in a camping situation.

Power latching and electric open/close are two different things, both are possible to retrofit. I have one of Paulys power latching side door kits fitted and has worked perfectly for years now. Much quieter on campsites than slamming it
