Sliding Door Intermittently not unlocking on remote

2018 - T6 Transporter (not under warranty) - Quite often when I unlock the vehicle using the remote fob the sliding door doesn't unlock and takes one or two additional presses before it unlocks and the handle then works to open the door. Any ideas/suggestions welcome.

common issue I believe, intermittent faulty actuator, got mine replaced under warranty as it fortunately faulted when I took it for a service under the all-in plan. mines 2019 twin door Kombi

Thank you, would be interested to hear if anyone has fixed this themselves or if it’s a garage job.

Lots in the archive - do a search.

Often the fix is to drill a hole in the actuator, spray some oil in and reseal hole. Grease dries out preventing actuator working.
