Some people call me Toonaroon, Some people call me Rebel without a car, My wife just calls me Victor meldrew.
After visiting many VW events over the past few years, and being in Awe of the cult following, the pride and loyalty in which vdub owners seem to show each other, and the cowboy/ hippy / free spirit, just made me drool with the excitement of owning my own vdub instead of just a car and a tent (no offence meant to fellow campers).
I now own a shiny new 17 plate Kombi highline 150 t32 and I am as proud as **** and chomping at the bit to start adding mods, however I have after only two weeks of ownership had numerous problems (see thread engine cutting out, star/stop) and it is going back to the dealer on Tuesday for me to sit with a tech guy to try to iron out this and many other issues so far.
However I will not let this daunt me (at the moment), along with all the other problems you see mentioned on this forum, which I think is a great platform for us all, maybe if the dealers stop listening to us we could form a posse around each dealership and call it sitfest!!!!

Just to cheer us up, I must tell you this true story, a mate of mine went into the local Chinese takeaway this week and ordered his meal, he then asked how much would cost to be delivered, the guy behind the counter said "£1" extra within 3 miles, he paid the £1 and had a lift home with the driver. What a legend...
