As per title, looking for someone to wrap/cover my A pillars in alcantara?

Very straight forward, i've done mine twice (changed colour). Just make sure you you gave it a good wipe down with something like an alcohol solution and then take some fine sandpaper to it. Some good hi temp spray adhesive will be perfect.

Yeah I did it myself and I thought quite successfully but I think the sun and heat in the van has made the glue go sh*t and it’s all peeled off

Trimming in genuine Alcantara is a very different ball game compared to using a stretchy material such as Milano suede or suede flex. Alcantara doesn’t stretch at all and makes it a much, much more difficult job, especially on the compound curves of the A pillar.

The same basics for prep work apply, but Alcantara is a much more difficult material to work with.

Proper high temp contact adhesive is the stuff.

Alcantara has zero stretch and is very difficult to manipulate.

I think THQ used fabric called Dinamica on one of their 6.1 builds. Meant to be very similar to Alcantara. Not sure if it’s easier to use though, but meant to be a better fabric than the fake suedes. Expensive mind you

It is advised not to sand polypropylene, I know, I was skeptical at first as it goes against everything we're taught about bonding. But I've had multiple conversations over the 14 years I've been doing this with 3M to best approach this substrate.

The problem is the plastic itself, I go into a little detail about it in one of my videos linked below.

Fist you want to wash it down with washing up liquid, there are some contaminates alcohol won't touch so do this first, then wipe over with alcohol. Then you want to apply a plastic primer (I use 3M primer 94) After that you want a Glue designed for polypropylene, there aren't many about because it is incredibly hard to get a permanent bond.

Also, Alcantara does stretch, it stretches on the width. You want to manipulate you material into the curves then work it out from there.
