Speedo Alteration

Can anyone tell me if there is any way of adjusting the speedometer reading on a T6 once bigger wheels are fitted? I suspect not but thought it was worth asking. Waze will give me a more accurate reading of course but isn’t what I’m after!

Ok, having tried some different search strings, I’ve found the answer and it is possible! Need a member with a yellow pin in the map who has the relevant software.

Yep it is a VCDS thing, so you are absolutely right, yellow map pin.

Well flicking through the settings on the MFD you can do + or - speed percentage if you have snow tires fitted, this extra % might correct the speedo reading if the Tyre dia changes?????? maybe.....

Hi, I have purchased a VW Transporter from Ireland which is being delivered within the next week. The Speedo is in KPH, Is it straightforward to change the dial face or are the units tamper proof now a days?

Could you live with a large MPH display? or are you getting and SVA done for registration?

As the vehicle is from Ireland it's approved for use in Europe so other than the basic checks i don't think it needs an SVA, The large display will work and means i can wait until i have worked out how to change the dial myself. Thanks
