I'm used to candles but now I've got H7 and they are great. Didn't realise there were things to see at night - people, lines in the road, trees etc.

Can't see why anyone would want to go through all the hassle to blind the sun with LED's. Each to their own though.

There is now talk of a study for DfT (pun alert…) looking into dazzling headlights due to the number of complaints and related collisions - some with deaths involved. Apparently since 2013 there is an average of 280 collisions a year where dazzling headlights are mentioned and six of those, per year, involve at least one death.

I do wonder if following this MOT stations and maybe even insurers will start taking more notice? Tricky because some of the factory fitted ones can be dazzling in some scenarios.

H4 is getting me by for now as I don’t drive fast in the camper but if I were to upgrade I’d feel safer going for H7 units and decent halogen bulbs.
