sporadic heater plug warning light issue

Happy new year to the forum.

I have a sporadic heater plug warning light issue which has proved to be somewhat annoying.

All of the plugs have been changed
NO fault codes appear

but the light continues to go on and off sporadically and I've a few thousand miles to cover in the next month

Should I be worried and does the forum have a solution to this issue

More details please. At startup? Before cranking? While engine is running/driving? Several times in a single journey? Steady or flashing light? Loss of power?

What code reader - is it VW compatible - has it ever shown engine fault codes?

Engine running

Only comes on and off whilst driving within minutes

Several times within every journey

Flashing light

No loss of power

Try cleaning the leads. Had the coil light come on. Plugged it in and came up plug 4 was down. Cleaned all the contact points and all is good now. HTHs

Is that an easy job for someone with no experience at all. Thank you

Yep even an idiot like me can do it. It's just like a spark plug lead so dead easy. Mine had worked lose or wasn't fully push down when I had a new engine fitted.
