As per title.

I’ve searched and have seen a few posts, but interested in getting pictures of st-x wound right down.

Current distance from centre of the wheel to arch 400mm, if you know yours with the STx that would be great - appreciate vans have different weights.

At the moment, I think its between h&r and st-x.

Cheers!

Had ST-X fitted last week on stock 16"Claytons and the van has been fully converted.

@The Van Cave can confirm, but I think the drop was 60mm (my brief to Chris was to get the van under 2m in height).

I would 100% recommend ST-X suspension. The van drives like a car! It's planted going round bends, and the bumps and imperfections in the road are not harsh. I really love it and can't wait to bolt on some new wheels to finish it off.

Ps please can someone tag Chris as The Van Cave doesn't come up as a live tag for some reason.

Thanks!

Suspension is frustrating, and a big decision as it isn’t a cheap mod, so trying to get as much insight as I can :)

Cheers Buddy

Body roll is minimal and controlled, I live in a rural area and the roads are shocking in places but ST-X just soaks it up

LWB T32 Kombi on STX

Fitted by Bognor Motors. Not sure how far down it is but I asked them to take it as low as possible without ruining the ride.

I was originally worried before they went in they wouldn’t be low enough but I’m really happy with them.

Looks lovely. That’s what I am worried about, mine is a panel van, and weight wise, it’s probably only got about 80kg in the back.

I re-measured my suspension and it looks like 400mm at the front and actually more like 410mm at the back. It is ‘supposed’ to be on 50mm lowering springs.

It sounds like the stx are basically kw v1 without the stainless body, and although I’d like it lower - performance is the top priority.

I’ve got STXs - the front is wound right down and so is the back but as my van is a Kombi with nothing in the back except the seats I think it is not low enough at the back IMHO.

I intend to either remove the height adjusting collar from the rear which will give another 10mm ish or remove the adjuster completely and fit some adjuster delete rubbers.

380mm front 380mm rear - 16” Clayton’s and 19” Cantera’s fitted.

The ride is really nice - I’ve always had cars/vans with lowered/sporty/updated suspension and these are a significant upgrade over stock dampers and lowering springs.

Yep, that's about 60mm down. Wheel arch to centre of wheels was 405mm after fitting the ST-X.

Here's an empty Kombi lowered to the limit of adjustment at the rear and adjusted to match at the front. In empty vans these are always rear limited on how low you can go. This is 400mm from wheel arch to wheel centre all round.

Note that wheel size and even tyre size can affect the overall look with regards to wheel arch gap and height of the van from the floor.

Thanks Chris - assume these are 20s? they must take up more wheel arch gap than my 19s as this looks lower.

I've just been out and measured my van - 380mm front and rear.

Its odd, as mine measures 400mm front, 410 rear and has about 50mm clearance to the tyres, where as some of these seem slammed compared to mine, even if the tyres are slightly bigger there’s definitely a much more noticeable arch gap on mine.

I’d be happy 380 front and rear. Mines a PV though with not a lot of weight in, 400mm front 410mm rear on 50mm springs.

Trying to find a picture from the side, I’ve jammed the exposure to maximum on one to try and show the arch gap.
