There are multiple satellites per launch and 80 launches for the full constellation already booked with different providers. It'll be useable by the autumn, and fully operational by 30th July next year (there's a legal regulatory milestone in their licencing agreement with the FCC so that's set in stone.) The complere constellation, including standby satellites ready to replace older birds as they fail, will be 2029.
The sneaky details of the mobile receiver set up shows it to be smaller and more svelte than the mobile Starlink, and (unless they change their mind, entirely possible) £80 less expensive to buy. Of course that will likely drive down Starlink prices.
I'm happy to wait and see for now. If I have to I will put money in that prat Musk's pocket, but if the alternative proves viable and competitive I'll be glad to not do so.
