Starter motor failed

Went out to visit family last night, and the starter seized/burnt out.
the starter on my iload went late december too :mad:
oh the joys of motoring lol

That sucks. But it we didn’t love vehicles that sometimes needed attention - JLR wouldn’t have a business.

Was it the original starter? Any reason or unusual condition that might lead to its failure?
 
that's interesting . . and not very common on here.

what's the van spec, age, mileage?

did it cause any other issues? main fuses, alternator?

did you have AA or self diagnosed etc?

it was diagnosed by the RAC it's a 2018 2.0 6speed highline with about 118000 miles no other problems, we jump started it and got it home.
