Startline vs highline from day one

My highline MY19 didn’t come with front parking sensors (rear only), rear camera or folding mirrors as standard. I had the rear camera fitted during the conversion as it’s difficult to retrofit after (although I did fit a rear dashcam after). Folding mirror upgrade is still in my wish list.

Does the start line have the same bumper? I seem to remember it’s a single piece colour coded version (talking T6 here not that young upstart the t6.1) so not as easy to customise the grills etc. otherwise I think there are a other creature comforts that make the highline worth going for

Can you please confirm something for me with e
Sorry to contradict a more learned member on here (@cgtmiles) but I don't believe Absolut5 had any problems retrofitting my Kenwood reversing camera when they installed a new stereo. My van was a Highline from new and it didn't come with front parking sensors but did have folding mirrors although I'm not sure whether they were an add-on or not as I got it when it was about a year old (it was a demonstrater before the conversion company acquired it). I often wonder about how much people are prepared to pay for later updates to lower spec vans and whether it's a false economy in the long run.
Hi,

I have a question on folding mirrors

One conversion company stated that I need to press a button for them to fold another stated it is on the key fob when locking up same as my current car.

How do yours work?

Many thanks

The mirrors on my MY 2023 van fold with a long press on the lock button of the key fob and unfold when ignition is switched on. Initially, I wanted to change it so that they just folded/unfolded as soon as the the lock/unlock button was pressed, but soon realised that in a camping situation, having the mirrors constantly folding/unfolding was a bad idea - both for the starter battery and from a noise viewpoint.

Thanks, my smax folds and unfolds on the lock and unlock. Are the mirrors working as per standard highline feature or did you change anything
Also thinking of say Cornwall, can they be folded via a button as on narrow lanes as well?

Thanks

@Wayne01 For what it's worth my 2018 Highline is one short press of the remote to lock followed by one long press until the mirrors fold. Sorry but I wasn't sure if there was another question for me in your post. If there was ask again and I'll do my best to answer

Not sure if they work like that from factory - my van went from factory to dealer to convertor before I even saw it, so the convertor may have done some VCDSing on my behalf. I've certainly not changed anything.

Yes, you can also use the twiddly knob on the driver's door to fold the mirrors whilst driving.

Thanks, similar to my Smax and to one of the conversion companies I spoke to

Thanks to all for your replies
