Sub With Double Swivel

I'm in the process of upgrading the head unit in my T6.1 (Halo 9), and I have already added Alpine speakers and sound deadened the doors.

I have been thinking about adding a sub in the near future, probably an under seat one, but as I have a Kiravans double swivel passenger seat and my leisure battery and controller are under the driver's seat I'm struggling to determine how it would work, despite reading it's possible to achieve.

Has anyone here done it, if so, was it difficult to fit?
Should I be considering an alternative location for a small sub instead and if so, where?

Interesting I'm in a similar train of thought at the moment. I'm also looking to add the alpine halo 9 was thinking 11 originally. I have changed to 2 single seats on lowered swivel bases and think squashing a sub in would be hard work.

So I have considered a sub by the rear wheel arches but wondering if in such a large rear space if it would really be heard enough

Yes, I too have considered putting one by the wheel arch as it's unused space, albeit small. My thought was also that being small, the under seat type might not work well enough. I don't think I could fit a larger one down there.

We install them to Kiravans regularly

Is that a specific enclosure built for this type of install, as the sub looks quite big? Or could you simply drop a smaller sub in there like an Alpine PWE S8? Still can't figure out how the cables would avoid being snagged. I'm wanting just enough low end without it being overkill.

I've thought extensively on this as I have a sub in my double seat and have been considering a swivel for a long time. The only cable solution I could figure would be the cables from the sub T'd into 2 x military plugs mounted at either end of the seat base.

Then when you want to swivel you disconnect from one side, swivel, then plug back in the other side.

Something like this..

We use a simple quick release plug on the front of the base, so if you forget to do it it will not damage the cable/plug, but it is a passive enclosure, so amp sits else where

Yes that is a purpose built enclosure for the twin seat fixed in for no rattles.

Does the amp have to be a specific size? If so would it be overkill for a basic Alpine head unit and speaker setup, or a nice compliment?

No not at all, we supply amps that easily fit behind the dash to power a sub that is not overkill

Sorry I meant sub, not amp. Though now you have confirmed the amp placement that's helpful. So the sub size, would that not be overkill for a simple setup like mine? Don't want to be making windows vibrate as I drove past
