Sub-Woofer Enclosures

Its going to be very close but as I say you could chamfer the bottom of the enclosure if it touches the track. Its just whether the leg will touch your speaker grille
Thanks, when I get chance I will measure how proud the speaker grill is off the enclosure its in now.

We now have a design for a 10" sub to fit if a RIB seat is fitted. This one is a slider seat.

@Eclipse Custom Vans: I've been looking at rear arch placed subwoofer enclosures. As these are suitable for the RIB bed, I wonder if they will also fit a 1300mm Titan bed? I've attached the bed dimensions below but can also provide additional measurements if required.

you can see the sub box fitted here, disregard the sound on video as it through a phone, it doesnt sound boomy on real life

I also wonder if you could provide the dimensions indicated by the coloured lines - thank you.

The Sub enclosure sits approx 18mm out from the wheel arch, so for the Titan, based on the PDF, the 1300 seat base is 860mm wide, so if it is fitted center of the van there will be a gap of approx 185mm to wheel arch. which is fine as we only need 18mm. However you will likely fit not center so more to near side. you need to know how close to the wheel arch teh bed will sit. This is irreevant iif the frame is further forward than teh psub enclosure, but I cant see form the drawing where this will be.

The height is 35omm to underside of seat, the sub is 330mm high so it has 20mm clearance.

Check with Titan where their seat frame sits in relation to wheel arch, if more than 18mm then it should be ok. However bear in mind the sub normally has a grille on so this will protrude out past the enclosure 20mm ish depending on sub model.

Thank you for a prompt reply. Could I also ask what the volume of both boxes are and the most suitable 10" subwoofers? I'm favouring something from either Hertz or Audison and nothing that will smash my teeth out.

The low one is 10.3L and standard one is 16.72. We use both Hertz and Audison, and can supply these also for you if needed. We also do a 12" enclosure but likely too large with a seat fitted.
Cheers

Thank you again for your response. I've just measured and have the following:

IMG_3563 - Shows the area for enclosure to be fitted.
IMG_3565 - Highlights the length from base fitting of Titan bed to inner plastic threshold (full length in IMG_3564) at 590mm.
IMG_3566 - Distance between Titan bed base and wheel arch although given your statement about frame being further forward, the 34mm may be irrelevant.

I think it will fit, is the 280 high section vertical above the foot of the bed, so 600mm away from the rear (your photo shows 570 on tape)?
Perhaps calle tomorrow on 01935321564 for a chat
