Hello! My T6.1 doesn't have a handle on the driver's side - how do I retrofit one on that empty ceiling cavity?

Do I need just the handle (see some on eBay) or do I need to install a mounting bracket as well behind the carpet/headliner?

Hi @dj_ you can get the mounting brackets but I just screwed mine into the headlining with small self tappers, been there 2 years without a problem

I don't know how to remove panels and stuff like that so maybe self tapping screws would be the way to go! Wasn't sure if just screwing would be able to handle the pulling/weight but it's great to know they can.
