Supercar Driving Experience - help required

I really don’t understand how anyone manages to sell vouchers.
They convert your cash that has no expiry date and is universally accepted into something that only they accept and expires and in that case they keep the whole lot for no product or service.
And when the company starts to go belly up the first thing they do is stop accepting vouchers-which to me is fraud.
For me to buy one they’d have to incentivise it and offer a £100 voucher for £90 for example.

Yep, totally agree, but there's not much you can say when you get gifted a voucher, other than "thank you".

To be fair, as much as I'd like to drive a super car, I'd have never got around to booking the experience myself - so that's a plus for the voucher. Also, any cash gift would just go in my wallet and be spent on day-to-day stuff - it happens with me every birthday and every Christmas.

Yeah I totally get that. I’ve had plenty of vouchers in my time. Luckily the last one that went out of date was extended with a quick phone call.

I used to attend Elvington a lot for dog training, but watched the cars going up and down the runway.
Apparently (urban myth warning), Elvington was one of the Space Shuttle emergency landing fields for NASA back in the day due to its length.....
I used to work in hangar 2 and that story was told to everybody. Not sure how true it is.

Pretty certain it was an urban myth and it was Fairford that was the abort airfield in the UK given the security available there.

Elvington security was pretty lax. Often had boy racers cutting the perimeter fence to get their passion wagons on the runway for 20 mins before anyone noticed or indeed bothered....

Just had an unexpected call-back from a very helpful chap at Everyman Racing and now all sorted with this experience.

I've booked for Oulton Park in September :mexican wave: - it cost me an extra £50 ("premium venue"), but, based on input from this thread, I decided it would be worth it. I also paid an extra £50 for collision damage waiver, as the excess would have been £5k for any mishaps!!

Unfortunately, they didn't have the cars available I really wanted to drive - a Porsche 911 Turbo (just because) and a Mk1 Ford Escort (because RWD and to reminisce) - but I resisted paying even more for exotica that I simply wouldn't do any justice. I would have had more choice if I'd have chosen a date in November, but I reckoned the weather would be unlikely to play ball at that time of year.

Anyway, I chose a Porsche 911 Carrera (977) and a Ferrari F430 - both more than powerful enough for me.

A big thanks to everyone for their input, advice and guidance on this - much appreciated.

I think 3 sisters is used a lot for Go-Karting but thats all I know. Oulton Park is certainly the name I know of the most and is obviously very popular with track days. I think Oulton would be my choice
3 sisters is a go cart track. I could barely get out of first gear on my bike.

Oulton park is a great track, although difficult to learn and get right. Out of that list there is no competition for Oulton.

Wise choice, I was on track at Oulton in the beginning of November. Fist thing in the morning going over the top of Clay hill into Druids with frosty patches on the track.

Can't say I fancy that on 4 wheels, let alone 2.

If you go car chase heroes, make sure you don't book the last slot as on some sites they can't fit in all the drives you've booked and they're not interested when you complain. I got a partial refund from buyagift but car chase heroes were just shruggin. I'd avoid them altogether.

The cars aren't looked after too well either...

Driven an M4 in the Oulton Park circuit. The drivers you go around d with a laugh, really knowledgable and happy to sit back and let you drive rather than restricting you.

The track is challenging but also u pique and fun. I have another single seater experience that was a Xmas present from my girls which is certainly going to be a laugh.
