Suspension Confusion!

No, not scared away, not yet

Thank you, everyone, for your replies, and sharing your knowledge and opinions. Lots of food for thought. It would seem, though not completely necessary, there are benefits to be gained and if I go at this slowly and carefully I will find the right balance between spend and improvement. Maybe I will start with getting the ARB's checked out.

Best put it on my Christmas list!
Thanks again

What most of my customers seem to appreciate the most is a discussion ( usually long ) about their needs and solid advise to buying or not buying certain suspension parts . We can explain why doing suspension mods is top of most van owners list and we can recommend certain types of Kits. and the reasons why you should choose them .By chatting to an expert you will get a sense of their knowledge and expertise which coupled to research on these types of forums will give you confidence in buying from them . As mentioned earlier , approved TUV certification is a must to have some kind of comfort that the parts are well designed and safe . There are lots of kits on the market that aren't TUV approved and any travel to Europe would ( could ) be a problem . TUV of course isn't a recognised thing in UK and that is why a lot of NON TUV approved kits are sold here . Again its the comfort of knowing the Manufacturer has built the kits well. .

The other thing to consider is that many of the kits on the market that lower vans don't have the load rating of the standard Van springs . An example of this is particularly in a T 32 there are very few lowering kits that have load rating for the capacity of a T32 , . Experts should be explaining these things and as i said a conversation with the suppliers will always give you confidence that they know what they are doing .

@CRS Performance on the subject of TUV approval and suspension modifications, I have been asked by a couple of interested customers about your adapter bracket for T30 to T32 koni fitment, and to be fair I would want to know myself before we fitted anything, so we know it is correctly made, strength tested, and with the appropriate certification. I'm presuming you have this all in hand, and if so please can you forward me a copy, so we can show our insurance company, and obviously for the customers insurance company too.

Hi, I really like the look of your van. Which wheels (and size of tires) are this? Which suspension mod did you do? Thanks!
Thanks. They are Supermetal Tridents in matt black. That photo, is with 275/35 20’s. I’ve swapped to 275/40’s since then. I have the Eibach adjustable springs, as I have a heavy rear end!!!!!!
