Folks I’ve fitted a offset swivel rib at the weekend and don’t like how high it is.

looking at other options I can see the sportscraft may not be as high if I drop the handbrake and see slidepods do one.

mot I have seen these lowered base plates which may work with the rib

Underneath my seat is a webasto heater but I’m thinking it may be ok to fit the lower base... has anyone got any recommendations? Feel like I’m going to get a nose bleed being this high up!

I thought the same when I fitted the same, but after a while just got used to it.

It's worth giving it some time, just to see if you adjust.

Don't all swivels increase the seat height to some degree? As above try it for a few days/weeks unless you can't reach the pedals ;) FWIW I fitted a sports craft to passager side seat and it still increases the height.

True but if you can get lower bases it may cancel the additional height

On passenger side i have the one with the base built in to the swivel... locker underneath.

Will try find a link

It will as underneath is open as prev and you can remove the rear cover and change for your trim vent cover ... been there done it :)

Right... option 1 is a oem base which has had the handbrake location moved lower. Thinking I won’t need the spacers that come with the rib swivel for this option.

option 2 is a Jennings base which also has a lower hand brake mount and is a lower frame. Thinking I won’t need spacers with this either and should hopefully put me at factory height with swivel.

will try them out over the Xmas holidays

Above will work i think pal
I looked at these also but went for the all in one as i could not cope with squeaking/creaking poor swivels... i nearly unbolted one and threw in a field on holiday it wound me up so much. if your swivels are good you should be sorted i think.

Option 1 fitted... massive improvement and no need for the spacers which come with the rib seat.

Option 2.... must admit prefer the matching look of the oem one so going to try option 1 for a while and if I want to go lower put option 2 in and spray it gloss black

Can anyone confirm if there is a single seat swivel mechanism that does not require any modification to the rear seat base plastic trim?
