T5 -> T6 Dash conversion

Hi all. I'm converting a T5 (2004 AXD) dashboard to a T6 with all the electronics and wiring replaced. I need photos of the T6 with the dashboard removed, I can’t decide exactly how the wires should be routed in the instrument cluster area.
Some photos. Partially removed the original wiring and began installing the wiring from the 2018 T6 California. I will be grateful for help!

If anyone is interested. Installed wiring, interior parts and all electronic units from T6 2016+ in T5 2004 with AXD engine (The engine and its original control unit EDC16U1 remained in place)

Hi! Can you tell me if all works for you? Is it all functional? Did you document all this brilliant work you done? I own 2003 AXD and wondering about such conversion however have looking for some tip of how to and what is needed to collect before start all the work.

Cheers for your advice!

You could talk to @AlexJoe as he also has done it.

Yes, almost everything works
Two things that will almost certainly be impossible to get to work:
- Immobilizer
- Adaptive cruise control radar
If you need help or details, write to me, I will help

Used to love doing dash conversions, I've done a few in the past, corrado into mk2 golf, mk4 golf into mk3 golf, polo 6n2 gti into polo 6n. Nothinh better than a massive nest of wiring to sort through, very satisfying. Good luck with the swap.

Did you get the clima control panel to work? And if you did, how did you do the wiring?
As you can see, i have replaced all dash wire harness to T6, so i have all connections like it was at factory
Only one thing, that 2.5 and 1.9 diesel engines have a different AC pump. 2.5 AC pump have a PWM controlled valve, 1.9 pump have a clutch. 1.9 pump can't work with T5 FL and T6 climate panel

Sorry to post in an old thread. I'm about to undertake this conversion but the wiring worries me. I have a 2009 1.9 base line. Is it possible to get all the t6 clocks and other functions to work?

I'm on a kwp cluster. But would love to run the newer cluster. I have access to the whole t6 to rob parts from. Do you have an idea of what I would need please?
Everything. You should swap everything, except a engine EDC.
At the moment I have replaced almost ALL control units and almost ALL wiring in the car (only the engine wiring remained original). In the rear of the car I made custom wires for the desired options (added wires to the old harnesses and changed the connectors).
At the moment I have 2 problems left that need to be solved:
- The dashboard does not display the fuel level. It is necessary to replace the fuel station in the tank (a different type of sensor)
- When driving at a speed above 20 km/h, the speedometer needle drops. And the dashboard goes crazy if the ABS unit is activated in the can-gateway. The most correct solution is to replace the ABS unit on the T5 lift. But at the moment I do not have this opportunity. I figured out what the reason is and at the moment I am waiting for PCBs and some electroinc components, I will try to solve this in another way.

P.S.
Here is very early video, here you can see how it glitches because of the ABS block enebled in the gateway
First tests. Here is all electronics from T5 pre facelift, but i added second instrument clustrer (just connected to power and powertrain can-bus). Cluster was from PQ35 sharan
And aslo here is how looking now my 2004 T5 inside (yep, still looking for gray multivan air grills and dynuadio grill)

Hi guys, I'm looking to do the same, but need a non aircon heater blower matrix etc everything behind the dash, if anyone can help.
Instrument cluster wise, the digital dash for a vw t5 should be out soon according to everest vw.
Only thing I can think of then is the heater controls, can't these be run off a separate ecu/bcm. Just for the temperature and direction control?

It is not entirely clear what you want to do

P.S. I wanted to adapt the original digital instrument panel from MQB to the PQ25 platform, but it is not yet clear how to remove the component protection from them and disable the immobilizer (permanently).

Prototype of the device with which I want to make friends between the old ABS unit and the new "white" cluster.
Ideally, I should replace the ABS unit, but I don't have the physical ability to do so yet. But I can do some magic with the CAN bus)
Let me remind you, the problem is that in my car the firewall separates 2 eras. Under the hood - 2004, and then - 2017.
The problem is that the speedometer does not work with the old ABS unit.
Waiting for the dashboard connector to arrive and will test it on the car
