Did you manage to resolve the issue via the dealer? I am still unable to register but van is going back to Van Haven for another issue and they said they will have a look at the registration issue while there. I guess they have seen this a few times.

Have you tried getting VW to reprogram the keys? That is what worked for me.
 
Also got this with my Van Haven digidash option, hopefully there’s a fix now.

Toby needs to stop setting himself as the primary user ;)
 
Van Haven sorted it. Now registered. I did not establish how exactly they solved it. Toby said to tell dealership not to do manual updates at service but online fine. If the dealer does update van haven will sort it but need to drop in and have them do it.
 
My unit had two software updates pending, both completed online but still the primary user glitch even after another reset.

I’ll message Toby today, not particularly urgent, but would be nice to get it working 100%.
 
Hi Guys, have exactly the same issue with digi dash, VW wont entertain it. have tried contacting van haven for advice but to no avail. no fault codes stored, wont let me register primary user. been back to vw twice and they cant sort. i have had keys recoded still wont work. does anyone have any suggestions.

Would persist with Van Haven as they told me they now have a solution but I did not find out what exactly that solution is. I tried all the suggestions others had outlined to no avail before they fixed it for me when I dropped my van in for some other work.
