T6.1 DSG illuminated selector

Anyone got a solution for the T6? I find it annoying that you can't see what gear you are in due to it being obscured by the gearstick on RHD.

Not sure it’s a problem.
If you are driving forward you are in Drive.
Backward in R and parked in P.

It looks better though. That’s the only reason why I would upgrade it.

I actually have one i bought from travelinlite that i didnt use, it has red illumination (matches T6) but subsequently bought one for my 6.1 with white illumination if your interested ?

No, sorry gents. Its on my SD card, I haven't edited and uploaded it yet. I've been so busy with work/life that I completely forgot, if I'm honest. I can give you lot an update on the one I got though. I bought the Chinese one which broke off when i took it for a trip in south of Europe at end of May. The heat made the bit you press fragile and it basically cracked and came off. I messaged the seller and he sent me a new one which i put on but even that one got fragile and broke off in the heat we recently had. They're made of the same cheap, plastic stuff that those rubbish phone holders are made off that frequently break with a bit of heat and movement.

I think Paul mentioned getting the OEM Tiguan one. If he has put the part number on here, I'll order that tonight and get it fitted/recorded when it arrives. I will upload the other one and post here for those of you that still want to proceed with the ones you have.

Update:
I ordered a genuine T-Roc dsg lever off ebay from 22 plate written off car. It arrived today. from memory, the connection looked similar on the pic. I'll replace it this weekend. Hopefully all will go smoothly and I'll upload video too.

mine don/t switch however when in manual mode it moves to light the +/-

Just fitted a genuine polo gti one to my 6.1 a bit fiddly but nice easy mod.i couldn’t find anywhere selling the wiring loom so ordered the Chinese knob that you can get on Ali express for £13 just for the loom .you don’t actually need it but with it ,the old selector lights and new ones on the new knob both work, without it you can only have one or the other. Obviously could have just used the Chinese knob as well but for £13 it’s going to be made of toffee

I've had my chineseium one fitted for about 8 months and it's still going strong! Haha Might just order another as a spare just incase this one falls apart!
