I’ve searched all over the forum for this but there’s no definitive answer.

The starting point is T6 LED taillight equipped tailgate van.

Are the T6.1 rears a straight swap? Or do they need extra wiring and resistors, coding in etc?

Done more research. Is this correct? (Inline resistors then coding out the ‘bulb out’ message):

What’s the 3m wiring loom needed for?

Also this thread asks a similar question:

If you are upgrading from standard halogen lights then one wire hole is empty on each side as theres one one foglight and one reverse light
I assume the 3m wire is the cable to run the feeds to the opposite side so you have fog s and reverse on both sides

You must have missed this :). Thanks though.

I fitted these, plug and play, no coding or extra wires needed, they look identical to the OEM ones with the addition of sequential indicators

No not at all, just answering the question you asked

Ah, so you’re saying that’s not needed for the LED T6s. The kits on that site are different though.

Answering my own thread but the T6.1 rear LED lights will go on an LED T6 if you turn off bulb monitoring in vcds.
