Found T6.1 Manual Gaiter and Frame

I have all the parts to upgrade my DSG level with the exception of the frame. I’ve called a breaker but no luck as yet.

I thought I would post on here on the off chance someone has a spare one. The condition of the leather gaiter is irrelevant as I have a new leather section.

I’ve called Transporter Heaven but they don’t have anything at the moment.
Does anyone have a second hand one lying around?

The old gearshift and gaiter is easily removed by unclipping the surround from the base. It is then a case of unclipping the plastic retaining clip on the reverse and loosening the clamp bracket on the front before pulling off to remove.

Appreciate the link. As I only want it for the outer plastic part (for the DSG upgrade) I’m loathed to pay that much for it.

They are like rocking horse shit, VW only supply them as complete units so people don’t really end up with just the frame

I was hoping for a second hand one where someone had changed due to the leather being bad, I realise I’m after something that doesn’t come around often, just didn’t expect it to take this long, the OEM gear stick rattles like crazy and I can’t wait to change it.

I just picked up one from Ebay for £30.

Brilliant! I've been chasing one for a while. Then a couple pop up at the same time!

Will clean things up a treat with the new shifter!

Yes I agree, will also be nice to stop the rattling!
